Cross-country skiing combines endurance and fitness with relaxation and recreation. It’s a sport that strengthens muscles and joints without overloading them and one that lets you take in the beauty of the breathtaking winter scenery at the same time.
Tobogganing is for everyone and it’s a fun option for anyone looking for a change from the ski slopes.
Ski touring is currently enjoying a huge surge in popularity.
Also known as back-country skiing, ski touring is more than just a sport. Exploring the mountains far away from the hubbub of the pistes and without the use of ski lifts offers an exceptional close-to-nature experience.
CLIMBING, SKIING, GLIDING
Three winter sports in just one piece of sports equipment
Crossblades are a combination of snowshoes and skis and enable easier walking on snow, enjoyable gliding and effortless downhill skiing.
What makes this piece of equipment so ingenious is the pivoting swivel plate on the underside. It has a ski base with steel edges on one side and a climbing skin fixed to the other side. Using a quick-release buckle, the swivel plate can be turned 180 degrees.
Crossblades are available with a hard boot biding for alpine skiing boots and ski touring boots or with a soft boot binding for mountain boots, hiking boots and soft boots.
Whether it’s hard-packed or fresh powder, walking in deep snow with wide-platform footwear is almost a breeze. Anyone hiking through the wintry mountains in snowshoes quickly learns to appreciate the great advantage of this type of transport: Snowshoes make it possible for you to go off groomed trails and truly immerse yourself in nature, in places where you would usually sink in deep snow if you walked in normal shoes.
